The Health Insurance Marketplace makes it easier to locate high-quality, low-cost health insurance. Millions of Americans are gaining health insurance for the first time, many for the first time in their lives.

Since October, more than 3 million people have signed up for commercial health insurance, and 6.3 million people have been judged to be eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP).

And the majority of those who apply will be eligible for financial assistance to help pay for health insurance. Nearly six out of ten uninsured Americans can afford Marketplace coverage for less than $100 each month.

Apply now for coverage that might begin on January 1st.

Providing Moms with a sense of security

Thanks to the Marketplace, moms are getting peace of mind, and families are already benefiting from new rights and safeguards.

Their parent’s healthcare plan covers over 3 million young individuals under the age of 26. Young adults can look for new coverage alternatives in the Marketplace once they turn 26.

For private insurance, young individuals may be eligible for cheaper monthly rates or out-of-pocket expenditures. If you’re under 30, catastrophic coverage policies are also available.

Because of a pre-existing disease like asthma, back pain, or cancer, insurance companies cannot deny or drop anyone in your family from coverage.

Preventive care, such as cancer screenings and contraception, is now covered without any out-of-pocket expenses. This covers 22 women’s preventative services and 25 children’s preventive services.
